Hubbard Avenue Diner in Middleton, Wisconsin recently announced that it would soon begin serving pie tacos at its establishment, after developing them for some time.

Beginning Thursday, April 12, the diner will offer four distinct flavors: Apple, Cherry, French Silk, and Key Lime. They are baked in a pie crust shell and served in a traditional taco rack like at many Mexican restaurants.

The Apple flavor is covered in streusel topping, the Cherry flavor has pieces of sugared “lattice” crust on top, the French Silk flavor is topped with whipped cream and chocolate flakes, and the Key Lime flavor is topped with whipped cream and lime zest.

The Pie Tacos arrive just in time for Hubbard Avenue Diner’s birthday celebration. On Saturday, April 14, the diner is celebrating 19 years, complete with giveaways, free birthday cake, balloons, caricatures, and face painting.
