The award was present to the bakery’s owners on Monday, March 12 during the WBA’s awards ceremony, which was held in conjunction with the Midwest Foodservice Expo in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
Linda’s Bakery was chosen out of five nominees to receive the award, which is determined by past winners. The Bakery Operation of the Year award, sponsored this year by Valley Cooperative Association, was created in 2001 to recognize an outstanding bakery operation annually.
“I just couldn't do it without our staff,” said Marc Anderson, who owns the bakery along with his wife Sue. “They are the reason that we are successful. You can have a great product but it's the superior customer service that makes you special.”
