Award-winning cookie bakery Byrd Cookie Company has revealed plans to continue expanding in Charleston, South Carolina. The company, with several locations in Georgia and South Carolina, looks to bring its cookies to even more people with its new retail store.

“We love Charleston and appreciate the warm welcome we’ve received from residents and visitors,” says Byrd Cookie Company CEO Stephanie Lindley. “Our new location, which is located just steps away from Charleston’s City Market, will allow us to reach an even wider audience in the area.”

Byrd Cookie Company’s second Charleston location will feature its popular Cookie Bar, where customers can sample its 16 signature flavors displayed in old-fashioned glass cookie jars. The company has a large variety of unique flavors, including its Key Lime Cooler (the first cookie to win Dessert of the Year as the Fancy Food Show), Georgia Peach Cookie, Pink Lemonade Cookie, Toasted Pumpkin Cookie, and many more.

The company also has savory items on hand to complement its sweet offerings. Among those are its Benne Bits, Cheddar Crisps, and Cheddar Pecan Biscuits.

Byrd Cookie Company produces more than three tons of cookies daily at its locations, making it one of the fastest-growing independent cookie companies in the U.S. “We’re thrilled to open our newest store in Charleston,” says Lindley. “We hope to make the world a little sweeter, one cookie at a time.”
