The new roasting facility and coffee lab will not only produce the brand’s coffee line, but will also feature guest roasters, coffee-related experiments, and many other innovative ideas.
“I can’t think of anything more perfect than having Tartine food with great coffee,” says Tartine chief operations officer Chris Jordan. “Having balance, elegance, and clarity in cups is really important for us. So is consistency.”
The LA roastery is expected to be in production mode in the spring, eventually roasting coffee for all of Tartine’s Southern California locations as well as its wholesale accounts such as coffee shops and restaurants in the area.
