Las Vegas institution Freed’s Bakery will be the subject of a new show debuting on Food Network in November.

Often referred to as one of the best bakeries in Las Vegas, Freed’s Bakery has been satisfying customers since 1959. Now, Food Network will give it the spotlight in Vegas Cakes, set to air its first episode on November 5.

Over the summer, the bakery filmed ten episodes for the series. It will give viewers a behind-the-scenes look inside the bakery, detailing how its staff makes the fun, outrageous, and elaborate cakes that have made it famous.

“The sinfully sweet masterpieces on Vegas Cakes are works of art,” says Courtney White, Senior Vice President, Programming, Scripps Networks Interactive. “Watching these unique confections take shape is sure to entertain our audience and inspire them to think outside the cakebox.”

The show not only gives Freed’s Bakery a chance to show off its incredible cake-making techniques, but also to shed a positive light on Las Vegas and its surrounding communities.

“We're going to be showing another side of Vegas that I think doesn't get a lot of national exposure so we're doing a lot of community events we're doing a lot of awesome local celebrations for local businesses or local families,” says Freed's General Manager, Max Jacobson-Fried.
