The Zingerman’s Community of Businesses includes everything from a coffee shop to a creamery. Its famous Bakehouse recently celebrated its silver anniversary with celebrations and a new cookbook. The latest venture will surely satisfy customers with a sweet tooth.

On Saturday, October 28, Zingerman’s Candy Manufactory will debut in Ann Arbor, Michigan. After selling candy at wholesale out of the Bakehouse since 2009, Zingerman’s will finally have its own retail candy shop located in between its Zingerman's Coffee Co. and Zingerman's Creamery.

The new business held a soft opening in August for retail operations, but the Candy Manufactory will have its official grand opening on October 28. The opening will feature a 20 percent discount on purchases all day, treat samples, and candy-making demonstrations for the public. There will also be a drawing for a $200 candy collection.

Children who attend will receive a free Halloween-themed book.

Zingerman’s Candy Manufactory will offer a variety of handmade selections. Some of the tasty treats available will be the company’s original Zzang! candy bars, peanut brittle, handmade marshmallows, chocolate covered espresso beans, roasted nuts, and much more.

“We think the grand opening and the discount will be a great way to thank the people who have been supporting us and buying our candy for so many years,” says retail store and marketing manager Allison Schraf. “We want to make it a big, fun party and show that we put our heart and soul into everything we make and all the service we give.”
