Effective immediately, American Airlines is replacing its non-branded cookie offering aboard flights with new premium cookies from Nashville, Tennessee bakery Christie Cookie Co.

Passengers located in the airline’s mainline domestic first and business class cabins will be able to get a taste of the sweet treats, which Christie Cookie Co. makes with gourmet ingredients and staying true to its Southern heritage. Both chocolate chunk and snickerdoodle varieties will be available on certain flights.

According to its website, Christie Cookie Co. bills its cookies as “music to the mouth”. The cookies have become so popular that the company is now the official cookie provider for the Doubletree hotel chain. It even sells the “Cookie by Doubletree” on its website.

Christie Cookie Co. was founded in 1983 and has grown tremendously in the 34 years since then.
