Award-winning pastry chef Antonio Bachour, who recently split from his partnership with Bachour Bakery + Bistro (now known as B Bistro + Bakery), has announced a deal with Codina Partners for a new retail project within the company’s 2020 Salzedo development.

The concept, called Bachour, will feature 5,200-square-feet of retail space. It will include a 60-seat café with additional outdoor seating, a walk-up bakery counter, and a baking academy.

“By bringing Antonio to 2020 Salzedo, we are doing just this and more, giving Coral Gables an extravagant food experience unlike any other,” says Ana-Marie Codina Barlick, CEO of Codina Partners.

“When I first tried Antonio’s elegant, edible masterpieces, I knew his upscale bakery was the perfect fit for Coral Gables,” said Armando Codina, executive chairman of Codina Partners. “Bachour bakery and restaurant is destined to be the ideal place for power breakfasts and special lunches, and must go to eatery for Sunday brunch.”

The pastry academy will also be a prominent feature. Bachour spends a great deal of time traveling around the country to teach advanced classes, so the new academy will allow him to share his knowledge and expertise in a fixed setting.
