The William Vale Hotel in Williamsburg will be the site of the latest enterprise from Wylie Dufresne, opening next week. Dufresne, a former James Beard award-winning chef, is the former chef and owner of the wd~50 and Alder restaurants in Manhattan.

Now he is turning his attention to donuts. With the help of former Tartine baker Colin Kull, Dufresne developed a cake donut that is perfectly light and round. He paid attention to every detail of the donut, even the glaze.

Du’s Donuts and Coffee will have a diverse lineup of donuts, such as creamsicle and banana graham flavors.

In addition to the donuts, the shop will also serve traditional New York egg and cheese breakfast sandwiches, and will look to expand its beverage lineup beyond coffee with cocktails, beer, and wine.

Du’s Donuts and Coffee will open Wednesday, April 26 in the William Vale Hotel.
