CakeBoi, a bakery located in the Bedford-Stuyvesant neighborhood of Brooklyn, New York has made a name for itself with the faces featured on its unique creations.

Owner Kyrie Ayers and the rest of the CakeBoi team feature famous rappers such as Tupac and Biggie Smalls on their sugar cookies.

By using his childhood heroes in his baking, Ayers has made a perfect nod to these music icons. "I'm just giving a reference and a light to people who influenced me to do what I do," says Ayers, age 27.

With the 20th anniversary of Biggie Smalls (Notorious B.I.G.)’s death approaching on March 9th, CakeBoi plans to promote the cookies along with some custom cakes as well. Because Biggie Smalls was a Brooklyn native, his face tends to be the most popular seller at the bakery.

CakeBoi’s owner has had the dream of owning a bakery for a long time. “It started when I was in high school and the teachers were always calling me Cake Boy,” he says.
