Organic Valley, the farmer-owned cooperative of more than 1,800 organic family farms, is launching a holiday campaign that defends butter.

Declaring that the War on Butter is officially over, the campaign has a video that makes the case that despite butter and fats being once blamed for every negative health trend from obesity to heart disease, the perception of butter has changed since they have healthy fats and a better balance of omega-3 and omega-6, while imitation butter sprays and spreads made from artificial ingredients often use large amounts of sugar to compensate for flavor.

Recent research suggests that consumers are changing their stance on the ingredient, backed by nutritionists.

The campaign has a unique website which celebrates butter and features live butter sculpting, as well as highlighting recipes and Organic Valley’s philosophy.
