Fresh fruit and seasonal citrus are squeezing their way onto menus this summer.

Dunkin’ Donuts is introducing two new donuts stuffed with sweet citrus. The Lemon Croissant Donut is a glazed croissant donut with lemon filling topped with icing drizzle and graham cracker crumbles. The Key Lime Square is a donut square stuffed with key lime filling, frosted with icing then topped with graham cracker crumbles.

“Our new citrus flavored donuts are sure to sweeten up any summer routine as a delicious seasonal treat,” says Jeff Miller, Dunkin’ Brands’ executive chef and vice-president of product innovation.

Fruit flourishes in Wendy’s new summer salad. The Summer Berry Chicken Salad features strawberries, blackberries, apple chips, crumbled feta cheese and warm chicken breast on a bed of 11 different greens all topped with Marzetti Simply Dressed Light Blackberry Vinaigrette.

Shake Shack’s new libation launch is loaded with lime. The burger restaurant is adding a sweetened raspberry limeade to its menu.
