Adults on the autism spectrum  are learning baking (and life) skills through the “Baking a Difference” program in Lower Merion, Pennsylvania.

They bake challah, a special Jewish braided bread, every other week in the kitchen at Adath Israel Synagogue.

“We make the challah here and then we sell it at the Federation Building,” says Or Ben-Ari, care manager at Jewish Family and Children Services.

They then sell the challah and the money raised goes towards hunter initiative programs.
