St. Louis retail bakery Piccione Pastry plans a casual Mother’s Day brunch celebration on Sunday, May 8, 2016. Communal-style seatings begin at 9 a.m. and end at 1:15 p.m.

Piccione’s Mother’s Day brunch offers large dishes from a family-style menu. For $22 per adult, guests can dine on sweet and savory breakfast and lunch fare, including fresh fruit salad, caprese salad, bacon and sausage, ricotta pancakes, chicken alfredo, Piccione benedicts, frittata with fresh, local ingredients, and an assortment of the shop’s signature pastries, mini cannoli and Italian cookies. Lavazza coffee, milk, iced tea and soft drinks are included with the price of brunch. Children 12 and under can dine for $10, while children three and under are free.

As a special treat, Piccione Pastry will serve Mimosas, Bloody Mary’s, beer and wine for an additional price (guests age 21+). Juice and specialty coffees are also available for purchase.

“We’re excited to channel our history and Italian culture this Mother’s Day,” said Sandia Hoormann, Piccione Pastry chef. “The Mother’s Day brunch menu includes a number of special offerings that are not regularly available at the shop. Mom can relax while friends and family come together to celebrate and share a delicious meal.”

Piccione Pastry will remain open for normal pastry business on Sunday, May 8.
