From February 5-9, the best bakers in the world convened in Paris, France, to defend the colors of their respective countries and attempt to win the 9th edition of the Coupe du Monde de la Boulangerie.

The top three teams were announced as follows:

GOLD

SOUTH KOREA: Chang-Min Lee, Jong-Ho Kim, Yong-Joo Park

SILVER

TAIWAN: Chung-Yu Hsieh, Yu-Chih Chen, Peng-Chieh Wang

BRONZE

FRANCE: Cyrille Martin, Deborah Ott, Claude Casado

Team USA at Bakery World Cup
The Bread Bakers Guild of America Team USA (Nicky Giusto, Jeffrey de Leon and Jacob Baggenstos) competed against teams from 11 other countries for the title of "Champion du Monde."

The Bakery World Cup is the most prestigious bakery contest for artisan bread bakers in the world. During four days, performing live in front the audience and before a jury of renowned bakers, 12 teams of three contestants competed in three categories: Baguettes & Bread of the World, Viennoiserie and Savory Pastry.

As part of a five-day event at the Paris-Nord Villepinte venue in Paris, Europain & Intersuc provided a unique show entirely dedicated to all the trades in the bakery, pastry, ice-cream making, chocolate-making and confectionery industries.
