Recognized as one of the most innovative professionals in business, Jonathan Perelman will take the 2016 American Bakers Association (ABA) Convention stage on March 21 to reveal how attendees can rise above the noise and get their organization’s voice heard online. As the former vice president of BuzzFeed Motion Pictures and former global lead for industry relations at Google, Perelman will draw on his extensive experience at two of the world’s most influential brands to discuss how the companies were able to grow by using branded content and telling stories in a memorable way.

Perelman’s presentation, “Growing Your Business with Shareable Content,” promises to energize attendees and get them thinking about the power of their organization’s marketing. Following his presentation, Perelman will conduct an extended informal dialogue to continue the conversation about how to approach different forms of content on multiple platforms and ultimately turn these tactics into growth generators.

“This is a spectacular opportunity for marketing professionals and the next generation of baking leaders to tap into the expertise of a cutting-edge executive,” said ABA President and CEO Robb MacKie. “Jonathan’s unique perspective on consumer engagement will give attendees new insights into how to interact with our customers.”

During his time at BuzzFeed Motion Pictures, Perelman was critical to its transformation into one of the internet’s biggest – and most effective – producers of video content. He led the creation of 75 original videos a week that resulted in 1.5 billion monthly views. Before that, he developed more than 20 partnerships with major global social platforms as the Vice President of Agency Strategy and Industry Development. Perelman was VideoInk’s “Dealmaker of the Year,” and AdWeek named him one of its 2014 “Top 50 Real Movers and Shakers Behind the World’s Top Brands,” and one of its 2013 “Top 50 Executives Making the Wheels Turn.”

Before BuzzFeed, Perelman spent more than six years at Google as the Global Lead for Industry Relations. He won Google’s 2011 Operating Committee Award, the second highest award given for “substantial contributions to company,” and 12 Peer Bonus Awards for excellence. He is also the founder of Lighthouse Group, an independent media firm, and is currently the Head of Digital Initiatives at ICM Partners.

The 2016 ABA Convention is taking place March 20-23, at the Arizona Biltmore. As the premier annual gathering of the baking industry, top industry leaders will attend to hear from business and political speakers, learn about the latest trends, connect with industry colleagues, share ideas, and develop solutions on baking issues.
