When fully operational in mid-January, Chukchansi Gold Resort and Casino will once again become a culinary hub in Coarsegold, California, as it will feature its own bakery and seven in-house restaurants that will offer patrons a wide array of cuisines boasting of some of the best Asian, American, and traditional comfort foods the region has to offer.

The Picayune Rancheria of Chukchansi Indians Tribal Council announced Dec. 29 that the Chukchansi Gold Resort and Casino will reopen on Thursday, December 31. The opening comes just over two months after the seating of a new Tribal council. Tribal Council worked to secure the numerous agreements with local, state and federal authorities. A formal reopening ceremony will take place on January 15, 2016. 

"Since our election, the Tribal Council has worked every day with our government partners, casino management team and local business partners to get Chukchansi Gold Resort and Casino ready to open for our customers," Tribal Chairwoman Claudia Gonzales said. "We are thankful for the support of our members and believe this is an important first step in bringing prosperity back to our people."

Initially, the Casino will reopen its doors with more than 56,000 square feet of gaming space featuring more than 1,700 reel and video slot machines and 22 table games, 220 hotel rooms and suites, a world class buffet, vintage steakhouse, bakery, a 24 hour light fare eatery, Deuces Diner, 3 Peaks center bar and Firehouse lounge that will feature live entertainment.

The restaurants include the California Market Buffet, a 370 seat award-winning buffet with live action cooking stations, the 116 seat Goldfield's Café a traditional American diner with a gold miner theme, Noodle Bar an authentic Asian experience where diners can watch expert chefs turn premium ingredients into fragrant dishes, 3 Peaks Center Bar and a Quick Serve Snack Bar.

Nativos will be a unique event space for groups or parities up to 75 people as it features breathtaking picturesque views. The restaurants in total will have close to 700 seats and will have some of the best chefs in town including the renowned Michel Re.
