COBS Bread will be donating $1 from every COBS Bread Higher Fibre loaf and Whole Wheat loaf from September 12 to September 20, 2015 to Breakfast Club of Canada (The Club). The Club is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing funding and services for school breakfast programs in communities across the country.

This is the second year of COBS Bread's and The Club's charitable partnership. Last year's campaign raised over $42,000 for The Club and this year's goal is to raise more than $75,000.  Every $1 raised for The Club feeds one child breakfast.

"Both COBS Bread and The Club believe every child deserves a healthy breakfast," says Tanya Hook, Marketing Manager at COBS Bread. "With 1 in 7 children going to school without breakfast, The Club needs support to help turn the number of hungry, distracted children in the classroom to learning, happy students."

Last year, The Club served more than 25 million breakfasts to students. In addition to the COBS Cares fundraiser, many COBS Bread bakeries donate leftover bread at the end of the day to support a breakfast program.

"We are so pleased to have COBS Bread as a partner. Not only is the relationship beneficial to the Club and our students, but our core values align in that we both believe in serving nutritious products, like their Higher Fibre loaf and Whole Wheat loaf, to growing children." Josee Desjardins, Senior Director Western Canada, Breakfast Club of Canada.

The public can contribute to the fundraiser by purchasing any large Whole Wheat or Higher Fibre loaf from COBS Bread from Sept 12 – 20, or by adding a donation to their purchase at any of COBS Bread's 83 bakeries across Canada located in BC, Alberta, Saskatchewan and Ontario.
