Catersource and Event Solutions will produce four competitions designed to test the limits of contestants, who are proven leaders in the event planning and catering world.

Diced Culinary Competition: Armed with a mystery basket of ingredients, six skilled chef teams will face off in a high stakes culinary competition. Assigned a specific dish, each team will have 30 minutes to complete their creation and submit for judging.

Rapid Recipe Challenge: Inspired by Top Chef's Quickfire Challenge, talented chefs will be given a covert list of food items and just minutes to prepare and present their catering creation, along with their original recipe.

AFR Design Challenge: Back for the fourth year, the AFR Event Furnishings Design Challenge promises even more exciting design fun and inspiration. The stakes are high as industry designers Andy Hopper and David Twigger face off in a Wild West showdown.

Tablescape Contest: The annual Tablescape Contest challenges caterers and planners to create memorable tabletop designs through a unique use of materials and concepts. Voting will take place during the Tradeshow with the Best in Show winner announced at the Closing Session. America's Sassiest Lifestyle Guru, Steve Kemble, will also critique the entries and choose his favorite for the Kemble's Pick Award. Entries will be posted online for public voting and a Social Choice winner will be announced after the show.

Catersource will also host several lounges within the tradeshow for planners and caterers to network with like-minded professionals and meet the publications' expert contributors. In the Catersource Lounge, attendees can review entries from the ICA CATIE Awards and the Catersource ACE Awards. In the Event Solutions Lounge, see finalists and winners for the Event Solutions Spotlight Awards.
