Rational announces its innovation that sets new standards in the professional kitchen at the 2014 NRA Show May 17-20, 2014. The SelfCookingCenter 5 Senses is the first cooking system with five senses as it senses, recognizes, thinks with the chef and ahead, learns from a chef, and even communicates with him/her. Four intelligent revolutionary innovations make this possible, which even owners of the previous model can use for free.

Once more Rational has provided innovation, which will significantly improve both the processes and the quality in large and commercial kitchens. The reason for this is that the SelfCookingCenter 5 Senses is the first cooking system equipped with five senses and which therefore provides a perfect interplay between the chef and his/her kitchen technology.

Using sophisticated sensors, the SelfCookingCenter 5 Senses senses the current cooking chamber conditions and the consistency of the food. It recognizes the size, load quantity, and condition of your products and calculates the appropriate browning by itself. It thinks ahead by determining the ideal cooking path to the desired result, i.e. the manner in which a product must be cooked during the cooking process itself. It learns which cooking habits you prefer and implements them. It also communicates with the chef and continually shows him/her what it is doing to implement his/her specifications.

Markus Glueck, Area Vice President of Rational North America explains how this is possible: "In our SelfCookingCenter 5 Senses there are four intelligent assistance functions that provide the chef with perfect support at all times: iCookingControl, iLevelControl, HiDensity Control®, and Efficient CareControl. These functions are responsible for enabling the five senses to work."
