Caribou Coffee, the nation’s second largest coffeehouse, introduced a new line of premium, toasted lunch sandwiches today. Seeking to offer guests a broad spectrum of high-quality food offerings with premium and fresh ingredients alongside Caribou’s well-established beverage line-up, the company has created three new sandwiches.

“No matter the time of day, Caribou guests expect premium coffee and handcrafted beverages, and now they can enjoy a wider variety of premium sandwiches to enhance their experience,” says Michele Vig, vice president of marketing at Caribou Coffee. “We’re thrilled that throughout 2014, guests will be able to experience a broad line-up of new food offerings made with high quality ingredients at Caribou Coffee.”

The company’s innovation team sampled numerous breads and ingredients in creating three new sandwiches that bring together a variety of high-quality options perfect for lunch or a snack. The new sandwiches include:

  • Ham & Gruyère Pretzel Roll: roasted black forest ham paired with Austrian Gruyère cheese served on a pretzel roll with a spread of creamy Dijon mustard


  • Roast Turkey Ciabatta: oven roasted turkey breast with mozzarella cheese and aioli pesto spread on a sundried tomato basil ciabatta
  • Turkey Brie Pepper Jam on Baguette: oven roasted turkey breast with creamy brie cheese complemented with a piquant pepper jam on a baguette roll

This new sandwich launch is part of a three phase approach to expanding the company’s food menu. In February, the company rolled out an all-new premium bakery assortment that included sweet and savory baked goods available fresh every day. The culmination of the three phase food launch will occur later this year.
