AB Mauri, a global leader in yeast and bakery ingredient products and solutions, recently demonstrated its dedication to food safety by affirming Safe Quality Food (SQF) 2000 Level 2 certification at all of its North American manufacturing facilities.  This standard meets the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) benchmark requirements for each AB Mauri location in the United States and Canada – Memphis, Tenn.; Greenville, Texas; Wilsonville, Ore.; LaSalle, Quebec; and Calgary, Alberta.

“Achieving and maintaining this excellent level of GFSI-benchmarked certification demonstrates our commitment to providing the highest-quality products to our customers,” said Brian Lundquist, Vice President of Supply Chain at AB Mauri North America. “We’ve been a leader in the baking ingredient industry by embracing this standard of quality as more retailers and manufacturers are requiring suppliers to become certified at a GFSI standard. AB Mauri’s dedication to robust food safety standards puts bakers at ease as they seek to source from a manufacturer that has shown an ongoing focus and devotion to wholesome, low-risk ingredients.”

The SQF program is a comprehensive food safety and quality management certification system for food manufacturers, wholesalers, and distributors. SQF provides independent certification that a product or process complies with specific, globally recognized international standards and enables a food supplier to give assurances that food has been produced, prepared, and handled according to these internationally recognized standards. Products produced and manufactured under the SQF Code certification retain a high degree of acceptance in global markets.
