To celebrate the launch of the Magnolia Bakery Handbook of Icebox Desserts, Magnolia Bakery introduced The Bake Sale—a first-of-its-kind recipe competition designed to spotlight home bakers and their most beloved desserts.

The bakery chain received an incredible response, and now, it has revealed the Grand Prize winner: Maria “Mia” Balzano from Mount Sinai, New York.

Mia’s Lemon Glazed Ricotta Cookies, inspired by a life-changing family trip to the Amalfi Coast, captured the hearts (and taste buds) of the judges. Her cookies are a tribute to summer, sunshine, and the power of food to bring back memories.

For a limited time only from July 11-13, Magnolia Bakery will bring Mia’s recipe to life, available exclusively at its iconic Bleecker Street location. It’s a local bakery exclusive and a heartfelt celebration of the creativity and passion of home bakers everywhere.
