Zucker’s Bagels & Smoked Fish, a New York City bagel shop with seven locations, has launched a frozen, par-baked bagel as its first retail product. Par Baked Frozen Bagels will come in three flavors: plain, sesame and everything.
“You no longer need to be in New York City to have the best bagel experience,” said founder Matt Pomerantz. “With the finest ingredients and traditional process, I’m proud of the bagel craftsmanship we established, and thrilled to share our baking traditions.”
In addition to the new product, Zucker’s is adding Marc Forgione, founder of Respect Hospitality and owner of Forgione and Peasant, as a partner and ambassador.
“Par baking doesn’t have to be a chef’s secret any longer,” he said. “I’m excited to bring the ultimate convenience to bagel lovers near and far.”
