Miami's Guayaba Restaurant, a bold Cuban fusion concept from the creators of Pinecrest Bakery, has introduced a sweet-and-savory invention that is already catching with locals.

The new Guava Burger a juicy Angus beef patty stuffed with cream cheese is served between two flaky, house-made guava pastelitos instead of buns.

“Our customers love the warmth and nostalgia of Pinecrest Bakery, but with Guayaba Restaurant, we wanted to create something that pushes those flavors forward. Something new, playful and exciting,” says Chef Claudio, the creative force behind Guayaba’s menu. “A little sweetness is part of our brand, that’s why we serve maduritos instead of fries. It’s about giving people something comforting, but also unexpected.”
