The Maui Cookie Lady, beloved for its massive, flavor-packed cookies, has been nominated for Best Cookie Shop in the USA Today 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards. Starting today, fans everywhere can cast their vote daily until Monday, June 9.

This is the bakery's first nomination in the Best Cookie Shop category by USA Today 10Best Awards, marking a major milestone.

Founded in 2012 by Mitzi Toro and her husband Joey as a fundraiser to thank local nurses for caring for her late father, The Maui Cookie Lady has grown into a nationally recognized bakery shipping sweet treats across the country and earning shoutouts from stars like Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and Ludacris.

“Our mission has always been to bring people together with our sweet and comforting creations,” says Mitzi Toro. “Winning this category would mean that Maui is home to the ‘Best Cookie Shop’ in the U.S.—a title that our entire team would be honored and deeply humbled to hold.”

The USA Today 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards spotlight standout small businesses across the US, with nominees selected by travel and food experts. Winners are determined by public vote, which is open now through Monday, June 9 at 11:59 am EDT. Fans 18 and older can vote once per day here. Winners will be announced Wednesday, June 18.
