The OREO Brand has announced a first-ever, limited-edition flavor innovation: OREO Chocolate Covered Pretzel. These cookies feature chocolate-flavored creme, sandwiched between pretzel-flavored cookies that are topped with salt, making this the first-ever sweet and savory cookie from the OREO brand.

The new limited-edition release will be available nationwide starting May 5, while supplies last.

Consumers crave sweet and savory flavors such as chocolate covered pretzels. According to the 2024 Mondelēz International (owner of the OREO brand) State of Snacking Report, 81 percent of consumers “pay attention to the sensory experience” of their snacks.

Earlier this year, OREO made headlines when it partnered with Grammy-nominated artist Post Malone on a new variety. Post Malone OREO Cookies featured a first-of-its-kind swirled creme that combined salted caramel and shortbread flavor creme and was sandwiched between an OREO chocolate cookie and a golden cookie.
