Vermont-based Runamok, a leader in organic, sustainably produced maple syrup products for home and the food service industry, recently held its annual Maple Madness Flavor Contest to create its next limited-release flavor. Maple Madness asks customers to nominate new flavors, which then go to a bracket-style voting contest.

This year’s contest received over 1,488 flavor nominations. From there, Runamok’s Research & Development team selected the 16 most promising flavor ideas, which competed in a bracket-style showdown like popular March basketball brackets until the final winning flavor was crowned.

The new flavor, Blueberry Lemon Maple Syrup, is the company’s limited-edition offering. Runamok’s flavor alchemists are hard at work developing this latest flavor, with pre-orders now open to reserve a bottle for shipping this fall.

Maple Madness is a testament to Runamok’s innovation process and dedication to bringing crowd-sourced creations to market.

“Runamok is on a mission to elevate maple in new and unexpected ways,” says Laura Sorkin, co-founder of Runamok. “Maple Madness is a fun way to connect with maple enthusiasts and discover our next great flavor.”

Runamok has built a reputation for sustainably crafting premium, organic maple products that go from breakfast to fine dining, craft cocktails and artisanal kitchens.
