Junior’s is providing a new take on a famous product by dipping its iconic New York-style original cheesecake in egg whites, rolling it in pulverized corn flakes and dropping it in a deep fryer until it's golden brown.
The new Junior’s Deep-Fried Cheesecake is available now at its landmark location in Brooklyn, New York.
“This is not an April’s Fool joke,” says Alan Rosen, Junior’s third generation owner. “Everyone’s a little fried these days. So we figured our cheesecake should be too. If this doesn’t make you smile and wolf it down—or at least take a nap—you’re doing dessert wrong.”
Junior’s Deep-Fried Cheesecake can be customized with a wide variety of sweet, salty, crunchy and melty toppings. Among them are chocolate chips, mini gingerbread men, graham cracker crumbles, rainbow sprinkles, crushed Oreos, whipped cream, strawberry, caramel and chocolate sauces, blueberry, cherry and pineapple pie toppings, crumbled Reese’s cups, rainbow marzipan cookies, Dutch Boy cookies and New York’s famous Black-and-White cookies.
