Craveworthy Brands, a multi-brand restaurant company and franchisor, has announced that it has acquired Kinnamōns, an innovative cinnamon roll concept based in Oregon and founded by entrepreneur and former professional football player Ndamukong Suh.
Kinnamōns has quickly gained a following for reimagining the bakery favorite, using locally sourced ingredients, unique glazes and seasonal ingredients. Popular flavor profiles include Caramel Apple Pie, Maple Bacon and Cookies and Cream.
The brand’s name is initially derived from “kinámōmon,” the Greek word for cinnamon, reflecting its connection to the rich history of the beloved spice. Under the leadership of Craveworthy, Kinnamōns will leverage the innovative restaurant platform to support its next chapter of growth through its streamlined playbook of operations, marketing, supply chain management, training and more.
With multiple locations in Oregon and a strong foundation in culinary excellence, Kinnamōns is set to scale nationally through a new franchise program that will allow entrepreneurs to bring the premium cinnamon roll experience to local communities.
“Cinnamon rolls evoke a sense of comfort, nostalgia and indulgence, and the baking segment is seeing incredible potential with demand for gourmet, handcrafted innovations like Kinnamōns,” says Gregg Majewski, chief executive officer and founder of Craveworthy. “At Craveworthy, we search high and low for brands that truly standout and fill a niche gap in the quick-service industry, while holding the unique ability to scale without losing authenticity of its origins.”
“Kinnamōns is about more than just great cinnamon rolls; it is an art form and an experience that brings people together in the community,” says Ndamukong Suh. “I’m proud that we were able to kick off Kinnamōns’ journey in my hometown of Portland, and now joining the Craveworthy team will allow others around the US to enjoy the gourmet and artisan experience driven by a team of seasoned experts who believe in the vision that inspired the concept.”
