Three Brothers Bakery's King Cakes have been flying off the shelf, as the Houston retailer’s bakers are baking and preparing for Fat Tuesday on March 4.
All locations will have King Cakes, cupcakes, dipped decorated cookies, petit fours and more available for purchase in store or online for pickup at all of the four Three Brothers Bakery locations.
King Cake Options are:
King Cake Plain (no filling) - $20/each
King Cake with Cheese Only Filling - $30/each
King Cake with choice of the following for $30/each:
Strawberry/Cheese
Raspberry/Cheese
Pecan Praline
Many folks from Louisiana have deemed the Three Brothers Bakery as good as the ones they had at home. There is a reason for that happening. About 10 years ago the team from Three Brothers Bakery went to a bakery convention in New Orleans during Mardi Gras season and went on a bus tour of about nine different area bakeries.
They came home with about nine different King Cakes and let everyone try them and decide which they liked best. Then the team reformulated the bakery’s king cake into what it is today.
All King Cakes are decorated with Mardi Gras beads and other seasonal decorations and there is, of course, a baby for someone to find who traditionally will have to bring the next King Cake.
