With New Orleans hosting this year’s Super Bowl, New Orleans resident Joy the Baker is celebrating with a brand-new recipe in honor of the Big Game: Andouille Sausage Pizza Rolls. These crispy, cheesy bites, stuffed with perfectly spiced Zatarain’s Smoked Sausage, are sure to become the ultimate crowd-pleaser for any gathering.

Ingredients

  • 1 (12-ounce) can crescent roll dough with dough for 8 rolls
  • 1 link Zatarain’s Andouille Smoked Sausage, sliced into thirds to fit the width of the crescent roll triangle, and each third sliced into quarters
  • ½ cup pizza sauce, plus more for dipping
  • 4 sticks whole milk mozzarella string cheese, each cut in half
  • 3 tablespoons melted salted butter
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
  • Few pinches fresh parsley, chopped

Directions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F and line a baking sheet with a silicone mat or parchment paper.
  2. Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into triangles. It’s time to play pizza artist: spread about 1 tablespoon of pizza sauce onto the widest part of each triangle, then layer on 1 spear of sausage and half of a mozzarella stick.
  3. Roll each triangle from the wide end to the narrow tip, tucking all that goodness inside. Place your masterpieces on the prepared baking sheet.
  4. Bake for 10-14 minutes, or until the rolls are golden brown and your kitchen smells like a pizzeria.
  5. While the rolls bake, mix your melted butter with the garlic powder and Italian seasoning. As soon as the rolls come out of the oven, brush them generously with this buttery, garlicky goodness.
  6. Serve warm with extra marinara sauce for dipping.
