As part of its quarterly give-back campaign, Voodoo Doughnut is teaming up with the It Gets Better Project through the creation of the tropical-flavored doughnut, Paradise. Available through June 26, Paradise is filled with pineapple and coconut Bavarian cream, decorated like a pineapple in vanilla frosting and topped with an umbrella.

A portion of the proceeds from every Paradise doughnut sold will go directly to the It Gets Better Project’s mission “to uplift, empower, and connect lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ+) youth around the globe.” Paradise will be sold at participating Voodoo Doughnut locations in Portland and Eugene, Oregon; Vancouver, Washington; Austin, Cypress, Houston, Katy, and San Antonio, Texas; and Denver, Colorado.

“We are so excited for the ongoing support of Voodoo Doughnut and to have the Voodoo Doughnut community as champions of LGBTQ+ youth,” says Jimmy Ancheta-Tilley Jr, director of development, It Gets Better Project.

“Working with a best-in-class organization such as the It Gets Better Project once again, is an absolute thrill,” says Chris Schultz, Voodoo Doughnut chief executive officer. “To be able to play even a small part in supporting their mission in our communities, is really what it’s all about.”
