After taking a year off in 2020, the Pillsbury Bake-Off is back for the 50th time since its inception in 1949. This year, in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, it’s going virtual for the first time.

The competition is a chance for amateur bakers to share their beloved recipes and the stories that go along with them. This past year has seen a renewed passion for baking, providing time for new and veteran bakers alike to hone their skills in the kitchen. This year’s virtual competition will recognize current baking trends and celebrate all of the unique baking creations we’ve seen over the year– from viral TikTok crazes to new takes on classic comfort recipes.

From now until the end of the month, home bakers can submit their best stay-at-home kitchen creations at PillsburyBakeOff.com, along with a personal story of what their recipe meant to them during quarantine, for a chance to earn the title of the Pillsbury Bake-Off Winner.

This year’s 50th Bake-Off will select five Top Finalists and one Grand Prize Winner. The Grand Prize Winner will receive the Golden Dough Boy Award and a variety of other prizes, and their recipe will be featured on Pillsbury’s website.

The contest is currently open and ends at 11:59:59 pm EST on Sunday, May 30.
