United Kingdom manufacturer Ingredient Batching Systems has announced that it has expanded its portfolio with the ‘Sieve, Convey, Auto Weigh System’, otherwise known as the SCAW System, which is geared for bakeries looking to increase their production levels with automated batching.

The flexibly designed system takes in product from either a sack tip, bulk bag discharger or silo and pneumatically conveys product through a deck sieve into a receiving vessel where it is weighed. The product is then discharged in weighed batches through a rotary valve into the next process such as a craft mixer. The whole system is dust free and has the option to be connected to an LEV if necessary.

Ingredient Batching Systems looks to help bakeries move from a labor-intensive batch preparation process to a fast and acutely accurate solution with continual repeatability, whilst eliminating health and safety issues.
