Icing Smiles is a nonprofit organization that provides custom celebration cakes and other treats to families impacted by the critical illness of a child. The organization relies on a generous team of volunteers spread throughout the US to fulfill its mission.
With that in mind, Icing Smiles is looking to raise money for its mission with the announcement of its first-ever “Sugarthon”, a virtual fundraiser and variety show taking place Thursday, May 20. Similar to the Jerry Lewis Muscular Dystrophy Telethon and hosted by Chef Charity George, the Icing Smiles Sugarthon is a 2-4 hour variety show featuring cake celebrities, musical celebrities, performers, families Icing Smiles has served, its volunteers and more.
Featured performers will include Brian Vander Ark of The Verve Pipe, Splash Animals, Big Bad VooDoo Daddy, Justin Willman, Brandon Louis and The Smashing Pumpkins. Cake industry talent taking part in the event include Sylvia Weinstock, Joshua John Russell, Jacques Torres, Mike Elder, Ashley Holt, Anne Heap, Adriano Zumbo and Elisa Strauss.
Icing Smiles is asking companies to join as sponsors of this event to show their support. All sponsors will receive their organization name listed on all social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, MeWe, Parlor and Twitter), as well as inclusion in the electronic photo album that will be shared publicly before and after the event on both Icing Smiles’ Facebook page and website.
