One of the latest foodservice establishments to add a plant-based breakfast sandwich to the menu is Caribou Coffee. The brand has announced its new Beyond Meat Sausage with Egg & Mozzarella Sandwich, available exclusively at Caribou Coffee locations nationwide starting Thursday, March 4.
The vegetarian breakfast sandwich is built on an herb ciabatta roll with a plant-based Beyond Breakfast Sausage Patty, cage-free fried egg patty and topped with a slice of natural mozzarella cheese.
“We’re always looking for new, innovative choices to meet our guests’ needs,” says Andrew Kraus, director of product innovation at Caribou Coffee. “Caribou’s food menu includes gluten-free and vegetarian menu items today, and with an increased demand in the marketplace for plant-based options, we knew we wanted to provide a great-tasting option for our guests.”
