Fast-growing donut chain Duck Donuts has announced the launch of its first-ever chocolate cake donut base option. Starting Friday, November 27, guests can customize their order by not only choosing a coating, topping and drizzle, but also their donut base.

Additionally, limited-time flavors will be returning to the menu including the popular mint icing and holiday-inspired red, white and green sprinkles. These flavors and more are included in the Holiday Assortment, which features half chocolate and half vanilla cake donut combinations.

“After a crummy year, we’re hoping the addition of this new menu item, our first-ever chocolate cake donut, will delight our guests and bring them comfort and joy during the holiday season,” says Russ DiGilio, founder and chief executive officer of Duck Donuts. “We pride ourselves on our unique made-to-order experience and in keeping our core value of innovation at the forefront of what we do, we’re excited to be able to now offer our guests not only the choice of adding their favorite coating, topping and drizzle to their donut, but selecting their fresh donut base, too.”

Customers can pair their donuts with the freshly brewed beverages that are part of the holiday lineup. Among those are a Winter Roast medium coffee blend (which features rich flavors of sweet butterscotch and complementing flavors of hazelnut and whiskey), and specialty espresso, milkshake, frappe and hot chocolate drinks in flavors such as White Chocolate Peppermint and Peppermint Mocha.
