Little House Confections started as a charitable campaign in founder Liz Roth’s home during the coronavirus pandemic to raise money and awareness for Covenant House of California.

Stay at home orders were in full effect when the interior designer decided to channel her anxiety into baking, while also giving back to her community. That’s when her famous Olive Oil Cake was born. Originally meant for just her family and friends as a way to give back, what she thought was going to turn into a $100 donation became larger than she ever imagined.

Roth began selling her product at the beginning of April. The “Bomb Ass Olive Oil Cakes”, as they’re known, quickly went viral with celebrities such as Kim and Khloe Kardashian, Kylie Jenner, Addison Rae, Steph Sheppard, Dua Lipa, Olivia Wilde and more posting about them on Instagram.

Since that time, Little House Confections has donated over $20,000 to local charities. Each month, a portion of profits are donated to a different local charity in an effort to support the community.

Little House Confections sells its cakes online as well as for pickup at its store in Los Angeles and its pop-up in Culver City, California.
