Corbion, one of the sponsors of National Bakery Day (organized by the Retail Bakers of America), is looking to show its support for local bakeries during the current coronavirus-impacted economy.

For National Bakery Day on Friday, September 25, the company is celebrating globally across the Corbion family. Employees are encouraged to purchase baked goods from a local bakery or make some bread or baked treats themselves.

Employees can take one or more photos/selfies making and/or enjoying their items, and share them with the company on September 24-25 along with mentioning National Bakery Day. They will be eligible for a drawing for a range of electronic gift cards.

Last year for National Bakery Day, the Lenexa, Kansas-based company invited its employees to give local bakeries their business. They could then bring in the baked goods they purchased to Corbion’s North American headquarters. Over 50 different employees brought in baked goods for a tasting event in the morning and were given a raffle ticket to enter into a drawing for one of two Kitchen Aid stand-up mixers or other prizes.
