Evette Rahman already had an impressive resume after previously winning the World Food Championships’ Dessert division. The talented baker from Orlando, Florida has managed to add to that by repeating at Category Champion.

The owner of Sister Honey’s in Orlando is the first person ever to do that in a Food Sport event. The World Food Championships took place this past October in Dallas, Texas, and the Dessert division was a competitive one. Rahman and her fellow competitors were tasked with three sweet challenges.

In the first two rounds, they were not only challenged to create a “Stuffed Cookie” using both a DoughEZ rolling pin and a non-stick mat but also had to showcase their culinary imagination and skill with a Signature dish. The Top Ten Round of the competition challenged them to infuse a dish with Texas Petite Pies Razzleberry Pie Filling.

With an overall score of 94.44 out of 100, Rahman took home her second World Dessert Championship win, earning $10,000 and a coveted seat at WFC’s Final Table Challenge in Indianapolis in May 2020 for a shot at an additional $100,000 grand prize.

“This win gives validation for all our hard work, and we feel honored and supported,” says Rahman. “We don't know what to expect at the Final Table, but we are ready to try and conquer whatever comes our way.”

Rahman has achieved plenty with her baking. She has been featured on the Food Network, in Hometown Cooking Cookbook by Family Circle, and has served as a panelist on the Crisco Pie Tips Hotline. She has also been inducted into the Orlando Sentinel’s Culinary Hall of Fame and placed Best in Show at American Pie Council (APA) National Pie Championships for three consecutive years.
