The recently-opened Boca Grande Donut Shop has made a quick impact on the culinary scene in Delta, British Columbia, Canada. Located in a suburb of Vancouver, the shop features both savory and sweet options in the form of street tacos and donuts.

Boca Grande Donut Shop has become known for its taco-donut hybrid, combining the best of both flavors. It takes a classic Mexican Vanilla donut, slices it in half, and stuffs it with the customer’s choice of four fillings: Pork Al Pastor, Chicken Mole, Beef Colorado, and Cauliflower Al Pastor.

Among the shop’s other popular donut offerings are the Nanaimo Bar (yeast donut, custard buttercream, chocolate glaze, and coconut chocolate crumb), the Strawberry Cheesecake Fritter (strawberries, strawberry pie filling, strawberry cream cheese buttercream), and the Cinnabomb (yeast cinnamon bun with cream cheese buttercream). It also has vegan and gluten-free options.

Crystal Avila Toigo opened the brick-and-mortar shop with her husband in September after first finding success with her donuts as a home-based business.
