A one-of-a-kind dessert bar from acclaimed pastry chef David Zaquine is coming to New York City later this week. Sweet Rehab looks to give customers some “sweet therapy” as it creates delectable orders right in front of their eyes.
Each dish from Sweet Rehab will be made directly in front of customers through a fully open kitchen, so they can observe the process from start to finish. It’s a way to entertain them and provide an interactive experience – immersing them in sight, smell, touch, and taste with high-end desserts.
The dessert bar features unique and unexpected ingredients like vanilla from Madagascar, Moroccan oranges, Syrian pistachios, produce grown locally, and more. The menu will change seasonally and will also have vegan and gluten-free options to cater to everyone.
Chef Zaquine, born and raised in Paris, France, was trained at the prestigious Ferrandi French School of Culinary Arts and has worked at both Michelin-starred and highly-respected establishments such as the Plaza Athénée, Four Seasons George V, Park Hyatt Vendôme, and most recently at Bagatelle in New York. His new establishment will feature traditional pastries with a twist using sustainable and fresh ingredients, giving New Yorkers a true, authentic experience.
