Pastry Love: A Baker's Journal of Favorite Recipes, the latest cookbook from Flour Bakery + Café chef and co-owner Joanne Chang, was released on Tuesday, November 5. The Boston-area bakery is promoting the new book by coming to New York City for a one-day pop-up at one of the city’s most famous bakeries.

On Saturday, November 9, Dominique Ansel Bakery will play host to Chang for a special event. The bakery will offer three of Flour’s signature treats: Boston cream pie, double chocolate rye cookies, and its famous Sticky Sticky Buns.

Pastry Love has arrived just in time for the heart of the fall season and before plenty of beloved holidays. Fall favorites, Thanksgiving pies, fresh holiday cookie ideas, and festive cakes are some of the book’s highlights. There are also gluten-free recipes that don’t compromise on flavor, such as apple spice pecan muffins.

“Joanne does more than just share her recipes. She also shares her love for what she does, and that’s what all great bakers and chefs do—they teach you to cook for the soul, not just the palate. First you find love for baking, then you bake,” says Dominique Ansel, chef and owner of Dominique Ansel Bakery and Kitchen.
