One of the most famous bakeries in Paris, France, Poilâne is known the world over for its breads. Soon, the bakery will be offering those breads in New York City for a limited time.

In celebration of the new cookbook, Poilâne: The Secrets of the World-Famous Bread Bakery, Poilâne is popping up at Andrew Carmellini’s Lafayette (a French café and bakery) from Tuesday, October 29 through Sunday, November 3.

The bakery’s legendary sourdough loaves will be available, as well as delectable desserts and pastries. Apollonia Poilâne will also be on hand the first day of the pop-up to sign copies of the book, which contains instructions for home bakers looking to make the famous sourdough.

Poilâne: The Secrets of the World-Famous Bread Bakery will be released in the United States on Tuesday, October 29. The book is among many publications’ lists for most anticipated cookbooks for the fall season.

“In many ways, the good bread we have now in the United States exists thanks to Poilâne. Poilâne bakery and the Poilâne family have revolutionized the way we think about bread, and it is deeply important that we preserve and learn from their legacy,” says American chef and restauranteur Alice Waters in the foreword of the book.
