Always looking to innovate in the bagel category, Einstein Bros. Bagels is testing a first-of-its-kind bagel product known as the Bagelrito.

The bagel chain is taking breakfast burritos to the next level with its new creation. The Bagelrito is an on-the-go breakfast item loaded with two cage-free eggs, thick-cut bacon, turkey sausage, three cheeses, hash browns, salsa and green chilies in a flour tortilla, all hand-wrapped in Asiago bagel dough and baked fresh.

“As the ‘King of Bagels’, we are constantly pushing the envelope and testing boundaries when it comes to menu innovation to meet guest expectations, and we’ve found the Bagelrito to be the best of both bagel and burrito worlds,” says Chad Thompson, Chief Baker and VP of Menu Innovation at Einstein Bros. Bagels. “The Bagelrito is portable and hearty enough to fill you up. It’s the first breakfast item to truly disrupt the category, rivaling the classic breakfast burrito and I can’t wait for everyone to try it.”

Einstein Bros. is testing the bagel-burrito hybrid at several locations in the Denver, Colorado area. On Friday, October 18, Einstein Bros. Bagels asking bagel and burrito fans to experience the Bagelrito at five Denver test stores and share their feedback.

Guests who order a Bagelrito by 10 a.m. that day will be entered to win free bagels and shmear for an entire year, with one winner per location. In addition, Bagelrito purchasers can fill out a survey about the product in exchange for a free egg sandwich on their next visit.
