For over 25 years, The Sweetery has adhered to its recipe for success: using the freshest natural ingredients, cherished family recipes and a passion for baking to create delicious gourmet desserts. Because the dessert retailer ships its confections to all 50 states from its home in Anderson, S.C., The Sweetery is nationally known for blending new flavors with traditional favorites. The Sweetery will showcase three of its creations at the 2011 Summer NASFT Fancy Food Show in Washington, DC, July 10-12, 2011: Wine Sticks, Cake Croutons and Red Velvet Fusion Cake.

Wine Sticks are the newest innovation by mother-and-son team, Jane and Ryan Jarahian. "They're perfect for any type of celebration or just a relaxing evening at home," says Ryan Jarahian. The Sweetery's Cake Croutons have caught on as a new accessory to familiar dishes and recipes. "Our customers enjoy coming up with new ways to use Cake Croutons like adding them to ice cream, salads, pudding, soups or just to snack on right from the bag," says Jane Jarahian.

The Red Velvet Fusion Cake features a decades-old Southern red velvet cake recipe with a delectable cream cheese filling tucked inside to ensure a deliciously new taste in every bite.

Many of The Sweetery's recipes are time-tested favorites passed down from generation to generation. All are hand-mixed, using fresh ingredients. Together, mother and son have developed new desserts that have proven popular with their local clientele as well as the many people who order fresh desserts shipped directly to them.

In addition to its mail-order dessert business, The Sweetery also operates as a local deli, offering made to order sandwiches, soups and salads for lunch, and take-home dinner dishes. And to ensure the family business continues well into the future, Ryan is already bringing baby daughter Roxi to work. "I think she's going to be a great help in the kitchen once she's old enough to see over the counter," says her proud father.

The Sweetery is a member of the National Retail Bakery Association, the National Association of Specialty Foods, the South Carolina Specialty Food Association and several local business organizations. Find The Sweetery by phone, 800-752-1188, website, www.thesweetery.com, Facebook or Twitter.
