At IBIE 2019 on Sunday, September 8, AIB International will launch VirtualInspector with live demos at its booth. This immersive training simulation will prepare users to look for food safety issues throughout a plant setting and document their findings with corrective actions that provide resolution.

VirtualInspector will allow users to take ownership of their food safety programs. The training begins with a scenario in which users are guided through the process. Following that, scenarios will test user knowledge and skills with a more independent inspection.

Interactive lessons will have built-in instruction, videos, and quizzes to test user knowledge throughout the course.

“Thousands of products are recalled each year due to undetected food safety issues. Facilities need a well-trained self-inspection team that can identify and resolve food safety issues,” says Katie Mayes, VP of Marketing & Product Development for AIB International. “We invite IBIE attendees to drop by our booth and demo VirtualInspector. Companies looking to optimize eLearning with an engaging and measurable training platform will find that VirtualInspector provides convenience, calibration, and efficiency for employers and participants.”

The simulation allows users to see around them 360 degrees, with audio and visual cues drawing attention to important hotspots. Self-inspection team members can practice identifying GMP violations that can’t be easily replicated without wasting raw materials or compromising food safety.

VirtualInspector can be accessed through AIB International’s Learning Management System and can be experienced via laptop, mobile device, or VR headset. The program is compatible with all major desktop browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Microsoft Edge, Safari, Internet Explorer) and Apps such as iOS, Android, Oculus Go, Oculus Rift, Oculus Rift S, Samsung Gear VR, HTC Vive, HTC Vive Focus, Google Daydream, and Lenovo Mirage Solo.
