Following a successful trial run in several U.S. markets including Miami, San Francisco, Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles, New York, and Washington, D.C., Starbucks has announced that it will make delivery available throughout the U.S. in early 2020 through its partnership with Uber Eats.

“We are driven to create new and unique digital experiences that are meaningful, valuable, and convenient for our customers,” says Roz Brewer, group president and chief operating officer for Starbucks. “Partnering with Uber Eats helps us take another step towards bringing Starbucks to customers wherever they are.”

By partnering with a fast-growing meal delivery service like Uber Eats, Starbucks can reach new customers, give existing customers a new method for adding Starbucks to their routines, and offer customers a premiere experience in a growing mobile and on-demand economy.

“Our customers are huge Starbucks fans and love being able to get their favorite items delivered with Uber Eats speed,” says Jason Droege, Vice President of UberEverything. “We’re excited to expand our partnership across the United States to make ordering their favorite coffee and breakfast sandwich as easy as requesting a ride.”

Customers will be able to access Starbucks Delivers through the Uber Eats mobile app, available on iOS and Android devices. Powered by the Uber Eats platform, they’ll be able to follow orders within the app, tracking progress and location of their Uber courier to ensure proper delivery of their food and beverage items within 30 minutes. Starbucks has also developed packaging solutions to help ensure the quality of hot and cold menu items. Approximately 95 percent of its core menu is available through Starbucks Delivers.
