One of the key programs that took place at IDDBA 19 in Orlando, Florida was the 24^th Annual Cake Decorating Challenge. Three talented decorators from around the country competed to bring their designs to life during the three-day competition.

Among the challenges the decorators were tasked with included filling an 8-foot bakery case with cakes, creating Toy Story 4-inspired cake creations, and making a special event cake.

Joni Graham of Carmen’s Independent CityMarket in Toronto, Ontario, Canada was named the winner of the competition. Second place went to Jess Tatham of Publix Super Markets Inc. in Gulf Breeze, Florida, and third place went to Dana Nygaard of Hy-Vee Inc. in Robbinsdale, Minnesota.

IDDBA 19 attendees chose their favorite decorator each day through the People’s Choice Award, which went to Dana Nygaard all three days.

The International Dairy- Deli-Bakery Association’s annual event brought together more than 10,000 attendees and exhibitors to focus on innovation, creativity, forward-thinking, and new products. The next edition will take place May 31-June 2, 2020 in Indianapolis, Indiana.
